West Winch Primary School
Further to a successful tender we were asked to improve the front entrance for security but with the remit of making it ascetically please at the same time.
We built a stud wall incorporating a vison panel for light for the new reading area within the school complete with a manifestation of the school logo.
A lobby was constructed complete with a keypad security lock on a vison panelled door to allow them to see who is trying to gain access to the school.
All decorated to make the existing school colours to give the impression it had always been there.
Sports Equipment Store
Originally the school were thinking of scrapping the original store and purchasing one twice the size, obviously, this would be a costly exercise so Peniston proposed upcycling the original store as a more cost-effective solution.
We mirrored the existing slab and incorporated an overhang at the new entrance to avoid trampling in mud on the more inclement days.
Removing the end panel to expose the timber construction we constructed the new panels, roof structure and doors before replacing rotten timbers and strengthening the existing store before joining the two halves.
We install new roof covering and stained the complete structure to give a uniformity in appearance.
The sports teacher was not only delighted with the additional storage space but also the ascetics.
